Scenic Kenai River Float Trip

This excursion begins with a scenic drive south from Anchorage along the Turnagain Arm of Cook Inlet, and up over Turnagain Pass in the Kenai Mountain Range. The destination is the sleepy town of Cooper Landing, located just below Kenai Lake, at the headwaters of the world famous Kenai River.  This trip offers a scenic float on the upper reaches of the Kenai River. From the emerald green water to the surrounding mountains, this day trip will grant exposure to yet another beautiful area of Alaska. As rafts meander down this scenic river, keep an eye out for moose and bald eagles. This is not a whitewater float. This scenic float offers breathtaking scenery and the opportunity for a really fun day. There are two points in the float where guests will encounter some excitement with a short burst of minor rapids, but no whitewater.  As the rafts come around a lazy bend in the river, the guides will ease them in to shore where the motorcoach will be standing by for the return trip to Anchorage. Boxed lunches included during trip. Raingear (if needed) and rubber boots will be provided.
